The Prime Minister’s Internship Scheme (PMIS) is a flagship initiative launched by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to provide 12-month internship opportunities to India’s youth in top 549 companies across 24 sectors.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Age: 18–24 years
  • Income Limit: Family income not exceeding ₹8 lakh per annum
  • Education Qualification:
    • ITI: Matriculation + ITI in relevant trade
    • Diploma: Intermediate + AICTE-recognized diploma
    • Degree: Bachelor’s degree from UGC/AICTE-recognized university
  • Employment Status: Unemployed youth only
